Big Bear Lake B&B Accommodation in the Carriage House at Knickerbocker Mansion

Although originally the “barn” that Bill Knick built along with the Mansion, The Carriage House has been renovated extensively over the years to become house charming Big Bear Lake B&B guest rooms. A suite and a handicap room occupy the ground level, while the attic, where the Big Bear Masonic Lodge meetings were held at the turn of the century, now houses our four standard Forest Rooms. All rooms have complimentary wifi, private baths and hair dryers.

Carriage House Suite

Located on the first floor of the Carriage House, this luxury suite has a king size bed and a trundle bed for two additional guests. An expansive great room featuring a gas log, river rock fireplace, 32″ TV, dining table, microwave, fridge and a treat of Southern Pecan Pralines complete the suite. The marble bath features an oversized spa/tub and separate shower. Outside enjoy a large and private wrap-around deck with forest and “through the trees” lake views. This room can accommodate two adults plus two more persons.


The Blacksmiths Room

A fully handicap accessible bedroom with marble tile, private bath and a queen size bed. The room is accented with rustic log furniture and a stove with faux fire. It can be used as a second bed and bath for the Carriage House Suite. Easy ramp access to parking lot, the Mansion and Bistro. Accommodates two adults.


Forest Rooms

On the 2nd floor of the Carriage House are the Forest Rooms. Each of these nearly identical standard rooms has an outside entry, queen beds, full private bath with tub and shower, gas log fireplace and charming log furniture decor. Down comforters, fluffy soft hypoallergenic mattress toppings, and quality linens accent each room. High value rooms for when you’re on the go. Each room accommodates two adults.
